JTPC Computer Services Terms and Conditions
JTPC Computer Services strives to effectively and reliably repair each PC & peripheral that we work on and we take extra care in servicing, fixing, upgrading and fine-tuning every computer system. That is why we are pleased to offer a 30-day limited warranty on all computer repairs and upgrades, from the date of completion. At JTPC's discretion, if the issue specified on the Invoice/Receipt re-occurs within a 30-day period, we will be very happy to perform the service again at no additional charge. This warranty does not affect the customers statutory rights.
All supplied hardware is covered by the manufacturers warranty/guarantee and is limited to their specific terms and conditions, and return/replacement policies. Generally, most hardware supplied has at least a 1 year warranty.
It should be noted that our 30-day warranty does not include any software issues that are caused or created by the customer such as viruses or malware, altering settings or other non-related hardware failures. Neither does this limited warranty cover additional software, hardware upgrades or peripherals installed or added by the customer.
Finally, this warranty does not cover any loss of business, profits or any other consequential damage, real or perceived, that may occur as the result of a software or hardware failure or data loss.
JTPC Computer Services operates a refund policy in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations (CCR). CCRs apply to all businesses offering services or selling goods over £42 off-premises (e.g. in a client's home).
The 'cooling off' cancellation period for uncompleted services and unwanted goods is 14 calendar days from the date of receipt.
Please note that no reason has to be provided to cancel the contract or return goods during this period. After contacting JTPC Computer Services you will receive any refund of monies due within 14 days.
If JTPC Computer Services has completed the service within the cancellation period, the consumer's right to cancel is lost.
Terms and Conditions
Whilst all repair work is undertaken with a high degree of skill and care, JTPC Computer Services cannot be held responsible for the unforeseen loss of any data that may occur during a repair/service. We therefore recommend that all data files are backed up by our customers, prior to the commencement of any work.
We rely on information that is provided to us by our customers in order to repair their computers and equipment. JTPC Computer Services accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage that occurs to any equipment (including hardware, software and data) which arises from incorrect or incomplete information being provided.
A Business User is a person who uses their computer for business use whether it is at home or in an office, and has work or business related files stored on their computer.
A Home User is a person who uses their computer at home for personal use only and does not have any work or business related files stored on their PC.
JTPC Computer Services is not a VAT registered Company.
Our very good reputation as a local Computer Repair Service is exceptionally important to us. In the extremely rare case that there is any part of our work or service that you find unsatisfactory or are unhappy with, please contact us directly and we will respond to your complaint within 1 working day. Our aim will be to have found an acceptable resolution to your complaint within a maximum of 3 working days.
Our current insurance policy is with Simply Business and provides £1,000,000 Public Liability and £100,000 Professional Indemnity cover.
